Day 5 of Social Media Campaign- Website Courses Cumbria

Measuring the Campaign

Day 5 and I am dominating the first page of Google for WordPress Courses Cumbria. Still no signups for the course but a lot of good things are happening and it won’t be long.

I have been head hunted by a major technical blog, one of my new blog posts is going in there on Monday. I will also be contributing to this blog which has been for 15+ years publishing content for software developers and architects of all skill levels.

They are branching out and creating new content streams to appeal to tech marketers. They have an audience of over 3.5 million and more than 650,000 members.

I will be one of the first bloggers in the Social Business/Tech Marketing zones.

This means every time I blog for them I can include a link back to the course thus increasing my chances of getting found by people who want to learn to build a website in Cumbria.

I only have 12 new likes on Facebook, but have had another email enquiry and my blog posts have been retweeted well over 1,000 times.

I had quite a number of responses from LinkedIn and people sharing for me too. I can also see that Google+ is good for driving people to the campaign.

Today’s Actions

Day 5 Spend some time on Twitter exploring new connections and messaging the links out to people. I definitely think that the private messaging is the way to go. I will ask them to share as well. I need to spend a little time working out who I should contact and why.
